Welcome Back! This year marks Sequoia Pathway Academy’s 10th year in Maricopa, AZ.
To ensure a safe learning environment for all our students and staff, please permit me to remind you of a few of our campus expectations:
- We are asking that parents not bring pets on campus. The Health Department regulates that only service animals should be on campus. Please check into the office if you are bringing a service animal onto campus.
- In regards to our parking lot please remember that:
- The speed limit is 5 miles per hour.
- There are no left turns onto Porter Road.
- If you are in the drive line you should not get out of your car (a teacher or other staff member will assist your child into the car).
- If you are in the drive line and are a parent of K-3 please place your pick up sign in the windshield.
- Use the cross walks.
I look forward to meeting all of you! Here’s to an amazing year!

Dear Pathway Family,
Welcome to the 2018/2019 school year! It is my pleasure to take on the role of Pathway’s Secondary Principal this year. I am both honored and excited to serve in this capacity as Pathway celebrates its 10th year in the Maricopa community! I have been a member of the Pathway family since the day the doors opened in August 2009 and it has been an amazing journey. I feel blessed and fortunate to work with so many talented educators who truly strive to make a difference in the lives of children as well as with a community of involved parents who value participation in the education of their children.
Our mission at Pathway is to cultivate a community of EXCELLENCE through PRIDE and APPRECIATION for our surroundings, education, and self. Administration and staff will work toward the collective goal of teaching and supporting students in striving for excellence in all that they do, taking pride in their efforts and their school, and appreciating all those people in their lives that support and care for them.
During the last decade, Pathway has established itself as an intimate and personalized educational setting where every child is known and valued for his or her own uniqueness. Building on this strong foundation of family and community relationships, I am confident that together we will elevate Pathway to a higher level of excellence in academics, arts, and athletics. Last year we saw a renewed focus on academic rigor in classrooms through the intentional planning of quality instruction. Our arts program continued to thrive in the areas of visual arts, acting, music, photography, and film while Pathway’s twenty three athletic teams enjoyed another successful year with varsity baseball and varsity girls’ basketball competing for state titles, and varsity wrestling and junior high baseball winning state titles; many other teams advanced through playoffs. We were also fortunate to have two of our varsity coaches named CAA coaches of the year for their respective sport. We ended the year with a brilliant theatrical production of Edward’s Albee’s Zoo Story and a phenomenal concert showcasing the range of musical talent on campus We will continue on this upward trajectory as we commit to excellence in all aspects of the school environment.
Each and every one of you ARE Pathway and you are an integral part of this year’s success. Both parents and teachers influence a student’s receptiveness to learning. It is OUR responsibility to create an environment in which students feel known, valued, supported, and appreciated. Pathway understands that education starts with building relationships and this continues to be the cornerstone of our educational philosophy as we move into the 2018-2019 school year. It is my pleasure to serve you and your student this year at Pathway.
